Jul 27th, 2020
I both wrote a text supplement and took photos on this day, so I'll include both here. First comes the text and then the photos.

Joseph Stanley Williams is the voice of adult Simba during Hakuna Matata, but ONLY as the adult. The child voice actor does the singing parts while Simba is still a kid. But anyways:
DAMN, CAN J. WILLIAMS SING.

Before the High
Red Rocks park and amphitheater. A legendary place that I've always wanted to visit. It was an absolute blessing to finally walk up and down those seats and see the amazing views all around.
Chili and grilled cheese from Big B's in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Absolutely delicious, especially together.
After the High
Some of the many wildflowers I found in the mountains that I've never seen before. Not sure where this was, though.
Some interesting sights from the Colorado wilderness.
A beautiful spot on the Continental Divide. I accidentally found myself driving by so I decided to hike around a bit.
A very well-made signpost. I'm not used to hiking national forests and seeing these things.
A hike turned into a spontaneous mountain climb, since it didn't seem too hard. It just took a long time.
A mountain sunset.
The top of the mountain had something unexpected: snow. I couldn't see it from my side, it was all built up on the other side where the wind was blowing from. It was surreal to see all of a sudden.
It got really dark really quickly. The area under the trees was rough to get through, but once I got through it I still had enough light to get back to my car.
A cute little illustration and explanation of snow slab formation.
